Reactivity Training Group Class
Learn and practice skills to have a relaxing walk with your dog in a supportative environment.
For any breed or age of dog that is showing signs of reactivity
4 training sessions, 1 hour class per week, $160
Small class size - 4 dogs max
Training sessions are held at Laurelain Park - Snyder Ave., Reading PA

The first day of the class is listed below and will continue for a total of four, 1 hour training sessions. Class will meet at the same day and time each week.
*Graduation from any basic behavior class is recommended before enrolling
Reactivity Class - $160
April 6th - Saturdays at 9am (FULL)
May 4th - Saturdays at 10:30am (FULL)

What is "reactivity"?
Reactivity is shown in different ways and there are different intensity levels depending on the dog. This is a class to help you have more control and confidence if your dog is struggling in the following areas:
- Typically barks when they see another person, dog etc.
- Will bark at moving objects like bikes, cars etc.
- The barking can also be joined by lunging, jumping, and pulling on the leash.
Having a reactive dog can make it difficult to control your dog and make getting out of the house stressful.
What you and your dog will learn
This class will be focused on building your confidence in a situation where your dog will typically be reactive.
- Learn new skills and games to improve the communication with your dog
- Learn how to handle different situations and prevent your dog from reacting
- Classes are held in a large open area to give everyone space to practice and be successful
- Get the opportunity to meet other owners that are experiencing the same challenges
What to expect with this class
You will be in a group class with other owners who are also struggling with reactivity in their dogs. Everyone will be spread out in a large open area to make sure you can be successful with your dog. As the weeks progress, you will learn new skills and be able to practice them. The class will be for (4) four weeks.
Session #1 - Trainer/Owner meeting (45min-1hour) The first day of class will be without dogs. Everyone attending will come to see the area where class will be held. We will also discuss everyone's designated areas and skills to practice with your dog at home to begin the training process.
Sessions #2-4 (1 hour each) These sessions will be with your dog to learn and practice the new skills!
Requirements for the Reactivity Training Group Class
- Your dog must be friendly around other people and dogs. No dogs with known aggression.
- Your dog must be current on all vaccinations
- Rabies
- DHLPP / DHPP (distemper/parvo combo)
- Bordetella
- Space is limited so pre-registration is required!
